Ruslan Biryukov
Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “hot and intense,” Ruslan is a cellist who commands the stage. As the founder of the Glendale Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Cello Quartet, he is known for his stunning virtuosity and charismatic presence. But his teaching is equally legendary: his students (“Ruslan Conservatory” alumni) have won over 300 prizes at international competitions. A graduate of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory and USC, Ruslan holds a unique world record: he is the only professional touring cellist who is also a licensed Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor!
